Hi! I'm Chancellor but you can call me Chance or Mud (that's what Kay likes to call me). I'm only a year old, and I don't have very much to say. I don't speak yet, but I sure know how to let everyone know what I want and when I want it. It's really funny to watch everyone run around whenever I open my mouth. If they don't run quick enough, I just keep making noises until they do. As far as life goes, it's pretty neat. My life is good; everybody spoils me and dotes on me. If I play my cards right, I think that I'll be able to rule this roost. You see, the folks waited a long time to have me---I am the only boy. I have two sisters, Macy and Kay, and they can't wait until I can take dancing lessons with them. They want to teach me everything they know. When I learn, I think that I will look like this: I will be a real sex symbol, huh?
These are some of the things that Mommy and Daddy are helping me to keep track of: My first visit was because Mommy got worried and thought that I would have the same GI problems that my sisters have. The doctor checked me and sent me to the hospital for three hours! They checked me there and sent me home. I don't know what the problem is; I just like to projectile vomit all the time. Mommy and Daddy don't really like this, but "boys will be boys," and it's so much fun to watch all the confusion each time I do it.
I have lots and lots and lots of friends! Casey and Jackson are my friends, and so is Michael Thomas, he is my cousin and almost the same age as me. Some of my day care friends are Austin and Zachary. Last week, 50 friends came to my Christening. I am so lucky!!
I don't know when I'll get my first haircut. I don't have too much hair, and it isn't very long. We'll just have to wait and see. Maybe I'll be old enough to cut it myself. Wouldn't that make Mommy and Daddy happy?
There's
really some stupid stuff on this page! How do I know? I just began to crawl. Easter
Sunday, April 7th. was the first day that I did this. I'm pretty cool now!
This one's easy. Everyone said it was "gas," but it wasn't. My first smile was when I was newly born and saw my Mommy and Daddy for the first time. They are so great, and I loved my new family!!! Everybody else thinks that my first smile was when I was about three weeks old. I smile the most in the morning.
April 9, 1999. Hooray! Pretty soon, it's real food for me! No more mush!!
Even stupider!! All I know how to do is babble. Who put this page together anyway? I'm just too wittle.
Now, would you like to come over and play with me? These are some of the things we can do. We can play with some of my toys, and you can pick the one you want.
When we get tired of this, we can go for a walk with Jen and Ellen in the carriage.
Maybe Uncle Tom will come too. He is my Godfather and I have fun with him (but I think he is scared of babies--he doesn't like to hold them much). When we get back and are ready for a nap, Mommy will give you your suckie . After our nap, before you go home, we can have a ride on my horsie.
A message from Mémère: Hi Sweetie, My wee one, my newest grandchild, so tiny and so innocent. Thank you for entering our lives and expanding our world. Your arrival has made so many people happy. First, your parents, who thought that eleven days of labor was enough; next, your sisters, who thought that nine long months would never go by; and finally, your extended family and friends, who couldn't wait to meet you and welcome you into their world. This world is a wonderful place, full of adventure and surprise. A long journey awaits you, as you travel from infancy through childhood to adulthood. Along the way, you will have all of us to guide and help you. You will encounter many obstacles and distractions, but through it all, I hope that you treasure every moment and remember that you'll never walk alone -- we will always be with you. May God bless you and His angels keep watch over you. May you always feel loved and protected. I love you, Chance. Love & Kisses,
I'm smart, but not that smart. I can't read or write yet, but Mémère put this Guestbook here for when I'm older. Of course, then I won't want this baby page and she'll have to make me another. The Guestbook button works, so you can sign in and Mommy and Daddy will read what you wrote to me.
